【摘要】:HeatbuildupinPVCexteriorbuildingproductsduetoabsorptionoftheenergyfromthesunmayleadtodistortionproblems.Heatbuildupisaffectedbythecolor,emittance,absorptance,andreflectanceofaproduct.Generally,thedarkerthecoloroftheproduct,themoreenergyisabsorbedandthegreateristheheatbuildup.However,evenwiththesameapparentcolor,theheatbuildupmayvaryduetothespecificpigmentsysteminvolved.Thegreatestheatbuildupgenerallyoccursinthecolorblackcontainingcarbonblackpigment.Theblackcontrolsampleusedinthistestmethodcontains2.5partsoffurnaceblackper100partsofPVCsuspensionresin.Themaximumtemperatureriseaboveambienttemperatureforthisblackis90x00B0;F(50x00B0;C)fora45x00B0;orhorizontalsurfacewhenthesunisperpendiculartothesurfaceand74x00B0;F(41x00B0;C)foraverticalsurfaceassumingthatthemeasurementsweredoneonacloudlessdaywithnowindandheavyinsulationonthebackofthespecimen.8SeeAppendixX1.Thistestmethodallowsthemeasurementofthetemperatureriseunderaspecifictypeheatlamp,relativetothatofablackreferencesurface,thuspredictingtheheatbuildupduetothesunrsquo;energy.Thetestmethodallowspredictionofheatbuildupofvariouscolorsorpigmentsystems,orboth.Thistestmethodgivesarelativeheatbuildupcomparedtoblackundercertaindefinedsevereconditionsbutdoesnotpredictactualapplicationtemperaturesoftheproduct.Thesewillalsodependonairtemperature,incidentangleofthesun,clouds,windvelocity,insulation,installationbehindglass,etc.1.1ThistestmethodcoverspredictionoftheheatbuildupinrigidandflexiblePVCbuildingproductsaboveambientairtemperature,relativetoblack,whichoccursduetoabsorptionofthesun''senergy.Note18212;Thistestmethodisexpectedtobeapplicabletoalltypesofcoloredplastics.TheresponsiblesubcommitteeintendstobroadenthescopebeyondPVCwhendataonothermaterialsissubmittedforreview.Note28212;TherearenoISOstandardscoveringtheprimarysubjectmatterofthistestmethod.1.2RigidPVCexteriorprofileextrusionsforassembledwindowsanddoorsarecoveredinSpecificationD4726.1.3RigidPVCexteriorprofilesforfencingarecoveredinSpecificationF964.1.4RigidPVCsidingprofilesarecoveredinSpecificationD3679.1.5RigidPVCsoffitprofilesarecoveredinSpecificationD4477.1.6RigidPVCandRigidCPVCplasticbuildingproductscompoundsarecoveredinSpecificationD4216.1.7Thetextofthistestmethodreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthistestmethod.1.8Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.9Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificsafetyhazardstatementsaregiveninSection7.
