【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoversstyrene-maleicanhydridematerialssuitableformoldingorextrusion.Thisspecificationdoesnotapplytoalloysorblendsofstyrene-maleicanhydridematerialswithnon-elastomericthermoplastics.Styrene-maleicanhydridematerials,beingthermoplastic,arereprocessableandrecyclable.Thisspecificationallowsfortheuseofthosematerialsprovidedthatallthespecificrequirementsofthisspecificationaremet.Thepropertiesincludedinthisstandardarethoserequiredtoidentifythecompositionscovered.Theremaybeotherrequirementsnecessarytoidentifyparticularcharacteristicsimportanttospecializedapplications.Thesewillbeagreeduponbetweentheuserandthesupplier,byusingthesuffixesasgiveninSection.Thisclassificationsystemandsubsequentlinecallout(specification)areintendedtoprovidemeansofcallingoutpropertiesofplasticmaterialsusedinthefabricationofenditemsorparts.Itisnotintendedfortheselectionofmaterials.Materialsshouldbeselectedbythosehavingexpertiseintheplasticsfieldaftercarefulconsiderationofthedesignandtheperformancerequiredofthepart,theenvironmenttowhichitwillbeexposed,thefabricationprocesstobeemployed,costsinvolved,andtheinherentpropertiesofthematerialotherthanthosecoveredbythisclassificationsystem.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section11,ofthisspecification.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note1ThereisnoequivalentorsimilarISOstandardforS/MA.
